Maple Holistics Review - Silk18 Conditioner & Sage Shampoo

Thursday, November 12, 2015

We interrupt our regularly scheduled nail posts for something a little different... hair care! Riley and I both rock a variation on the pixie cut. Having clean, shiny and soft hair is really important to us so we are always on the hunt for a good shampoo and conditioner. Short haired girls need conditioner too!

Maple Holistics reached out to us a while ago to review our choice of products from their line of natural beauty products. We chose Sage Shampoo and Silk18 Conditioner. In an effort to provide the most accurate and honest review, I've been testing these two products within my normal hair care regimen for the past 2 months.

Sage Shampoo is an anti-dandruff shampoo made with jojoba, argan, and organic tea tree oil. It's natural, sulfate-free and safe for colour-treated hair (though we can't vouch for this because neither of us colour our hair). It also contains sage (obviously), spikenard and rosemary so it smells awesome.

Silk18 Conditioner is also sulfate-free. It's designed as a treatment for dry and damaged hair, made with argan, jojoba and natural keratin; it is also safe for colour-treated hair (again, no comment on this aspect of the product). Silk18 is a gentle conditioner made with eighteen different amino acids and botanical keratin. This also smells amazing (very much like vanilla).

So, what's the verdict? TWO THUMBS UP!
We love how soft and shiny both of these products leave our hair. I can honestly say that my hair stays cleaner longer after washing with both Sage and Silk18. I am totally a fan of these two hair care products and I would definitely recommend checking out Maple Holistics if you are looking for a safe, natural hair care product to use on a regular basis.
